The International Association of Close Protection Officers, IACPO, the largest independent bodyguard organization in the world, has appointed Danish security specialist Henrik Bramsborg chairman of its advisory board.
IACPO, headquartered in Germany with regional offices worldwide, has decided to create a larger platform for the more than 450 members registered with the organization – in part by establishing an advisory board, and in part by establishing a PR project to provide information about the organization’s ethical guidelines, mission, and purpose.
”With so many members in more than 30 countries, it was time to structure things somewhat differently. Our directors as a whole selected Henrik Bramsborg, as he has the necessary knowledge of our field, and furthermore has management experience,” says Dirk Jähnke, German president and founder of IACPO.
Henrik Bramsborg has served as Danish country director for the organization for 7 years, and also works as security consultant and head of the VIP department in Danish Prestige Security ApS. Henrik has previously held office or been a boardmember in several companies and associations.
IACPO has been in existence since 2005 and is the world’s only completely independent bodyguard organization. This means that all bodyguards can become members, as long as they work or are trained in the profession. Membership has increased steadily over the last couple of years and is expected to exceed 1000 members by 2020.
